SMSBarrage Suspended From Android Market
Unfortunately Google has determined that SMSBarrage violates the terms of the Android Market. To the 9657 people who downloaded it and 466 who rated it I thank you.
Since I can no longer distribute via the Market, I will either just provide HTTP dowloads of a self-updating package or implement a plugin system for a new Market app. If anyone has any suggestions or comments I’ll take them under consideration.
If any new users want to install the application you can either copy it from a friend or compile the source yourself.

April 14th, 2009 at 6:21 pmHi Jake ~ I had a problem with my g1 which t-mobile replaced last Friday…unfortunately, when I went to download my apps again, I couldn’t find SMSBarrage; needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed when I read your message that Android has suspended the app…I wrote them a protest email as it truly is a fun little app.
Perseverence is my middle name, or should be…I went to Github and downloaded what I thought, was SMSBarrage…it landed on my SD card and wouldn’t open. I finally found the correct download and am happy as a lark…however, I can’t get the other SMSBarrage I downloaded from Github off the SD card…any ideas?
April 20th, 2009 at 4:37 pmThe downloads from GitHub are just archives of the source code files. They just added a feature of being able to hide that tab thankfully as you are not the only one who tried to download SMSBarrage from there.
I find it odd that you cannot delete the .tar.gz/.zip file. If you extracted the archive and opened any of the files perhaps they are still open in the background which would prevent a deletion. A reboot should fix that though which I assume you would have tried. If you downloaded a really old version of the .apk it might have started a service. To remove an installed .apk you should use the uninstaller in the settings. Other than that it is hard for me to determine the exact cause. If perseverance is truely your middle name I’m sure you’ll find a solution.
When I download it to your website what do I do after that?
July 20th, 2010 at 2:21 amI have never downloaded something on the computer then put it on my cell phone. I have a HTC Droid Incredible. Thank you.
Download the file on your phone. When it is complete, click it and it will prompt you to install. Make sure you allow non-market apps in Settings > Applications.
